Twenty-eight low-income people have a home in part because of Common Ground's 2008 Supportive Housing Institute (SHI) training.  This Common Ground-led high-impact workshop brought together several nonprofit organizations with the mission of building and managing affordable housing.  The SHI called for participants form specific partnerships and then develop affordable housing, and we guided them through the process.  Serenity House was able to keep their costs low because the land was donated.  And the project also reserved eight units for formerly homeless veterans.
