Milwaukee Park Apartments

209 S. Milwaukee St.
Mt. Vernon, WA 98273

In 2001, Compass Health determined that Skagit County needed more housing for its homeless clients receiving treatment for mental illness. Compass began fundraising, working with local social services agencies, and partnering with Common Ground to later establish the Milwaukee Park Apartments.  With our financial assembling expertise and full range of housing development services, Compass Health was able to open Milwaukee Park Apartments and provide 15 homes for low-income individuals.  The homes include support spaces for mental health and other social services on the first level.  And they are located across the street from a Compass Health facility, so residents have access to computers, day programs and physical exercise opportunities.
