Mukai Commons

1111 178th Pl. SE
Vashon, WA 98070

In April 2009, Vashon Household purchased an apartment complex in the heart of Vashon Town with the goal of renovating 20 units for low-income individuals and families. The three buildings were in poor condition, having suffered years of neglect inside and out. With Common Ground’s project management and state and county financing they bought the buildings and secured grants to fully rehab every unit.  Today, Mukai Commons is a safe, affordable and beautiful place to live with all of the units designated to affordable households meeting federal low-income standards. Five of the 20 units are reserved for formerly homeless people.
