Project Open Door is a collaborative venture between the Pierce County AIDS Foundation and AIDS Housing Association of Tacoma.  The program is designed to provide permanent housing for people with HIV/AIDS, coupled with enriched social services so that the people it serves can break the cycle of chronic homelessness.  Project Open Door provides 8 units of permanent supportive housing for chronic homeless persons with HIV/AIDS in Tacoma.  Common Ground provided a full range of affordable housing development services to help make this program a reality.
