Common Ground provided full development services and financial consulting for Bremerton Housing Authority (BHA) to complete the Bay Vista Hope VI redevelopment. When completed, Bay Vista will replace the once dilapidated 82-acre Westpark neighborhood with 4 new communities. The Summit at Bay Vista is the first finished community, consisting of 83 family rental units. Residents of The Summit also will receive Section 8 help, along with other public-housing assistance to bring rents for the one- and two-bedroom units down. The Summit also has a large community lounge, computer lab, and will host a café run as a barista training program for BHA residents. Former residents of the Westpark neighborhood have been given a priority in occupancy of this new complex.
