In 2005, Spokane was losing affordable housing stock while homelessness was on the rise.  We provided full housing development support for Spokane Urban Ministries through its first housing project, Walnut Corners.  The partnership, which also included four local churches, led to 47 units of affordable rental units with commercial space for neighborhood small businesses.  Today, it stands as a testament to how affordable housing can add value and economic strength to a neighborhood.
